Sponsorship / Adoption

We are always extremely grateful to all our sponsors.

From this page you can sponsor one of our birds or if you prefer to be more general, please visit our funding page at gofundme.com

Why sponsorship is important to us...

On average, a small bird, such as a barn owl, costs us £10 per week to feed, £1500 per year to house, and about £50-100 per year on veterinary care.  Large birds, such as eagles, cost several times these amounts.

Sponsors/adopters have an extremely important role to play within every organisation, and their contribution to our work is never underestimated by us.  On average, a small bird, such as a barn owl, costs us £10 per week to feed, £1500 per year to house, and about £50-100 per year on veterinary care.  Large birds, such as eagles, cost several times these amounts.

With the many injured raptors (owls and birds of prey) we have brought to us by vets, the police, members of the public etc.  Once the birds are well, they are released back to the wild.  Our vet, food and housing bill for these casualties averages about £10,000 per year.  A large portion of these costs are normally offset by our regular events and displays throughout the UK, along with the generous donations given to us by our supporters, including the sponsors/adopters of our birds.  These generous contributions help us to ensure that we can afford to give our birds the best, and never have to turn away any injured raptors brought to us.

Our sponsorship/adoption scheme was started through popular demand, and allows affordable sponsorship/adoption of our birds.

All sponsors/adopters receive a certificate of sponsorship.  These make a wonderful gift.

Sponsorship/adoption runs for 12 months, with the opportunity to renew.

In these unprecedented times, when everyone’s income is adversely affected, we have set our adoption/sponsorship levels to ensure that they are within everyone’s reach.

Three levels of sponsorship are available and all sponsors/adopters receive a certificate with photograph of their adopted/sponsored bird.  The certificate will indicate the level of support, and give details of the specific bird.
