Honeybank Animal Actors is the leading supplier of a wide range of animals to film makers, production companies, TV producers, the advertising industry and event organisers. Although we specialise in birds of prey and owls (we supplied some of the owls used in the Harry Potter series of movies), we keep a wide range of other animals, and have a nationwide network of suppliers, enabling us to get almost any animal for any event or production. We also train our animals for specific tasks for these events.

Animals in TV and films are often essential, and at Honeybank, we have a large selection of animals suitable for these roles. Our credits include GMTV, Blue Peter, BBC News, ITN, Channel 4, Sky TV, Warner Brothers, Breakfast Time, This Morning, to mention just a few.

Many of our animals are ready "off the shelf" for many roles in productions. Where animals are required to perform specific tasks for which they have not yet been trained, can undergo suitable training to fit them for the tasks ahead.

All our animals are accompanied by a trained handler. We have in place the following safeguards:

Trained and obedient animals
Tame animals, i.e. those that are used to being handled
Adherence to Health and Safety Executive guidelines and practices
Adherence to the Wildlife and Countryside Act
Registration under, and adherence to, the Performing Animals (Regulation) Act
Registration with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)
Animals accompanied by suitable personnel at all times while on site
Animals given regular veterinary treatment and/or vaccinations, as necessary

Safeguards for the animals include;

Suitable transport caging.
Temperature regulation throughout transport and while on site.
Constant availability of food and moisture, as relevant.
All animals captive bred (where possible).
No animal used too often, i.e. over-worked.
Animals kept in appropriate sized cages and groups (while at base).
Adherence to Transport of Animals Orders.
All our animals are legal, and documentary evidence to this effect is available.
All animals are legally obtained.
